Dr. Stacy Spencer, of New Direction Christian Church, Memphis, TN left a hand print in Idutywa, South Africa that will be remembered for time to come. He committed to provide annual clinic services to a small village outside of Idutywa. It was the first time the villagers saw African Americans. They said it has been their prayer that we come from across the water to help them. The village has no running water. Their source is rain water collected in galvanized tanks next to their homes. When that runs out they are left to get water from the ponds that the cattle drink from. |

For two years Dr. Spencer and his team of Internist, OBGYN, Dentist, Pharmacist and Lay People have returned to Idutywa. Their services include physical exams, meds, counseling and prayer. The lay team spoke at schools and gave out school supplies and bibles. The first year they saw 500 patients, the second year 650. Those that need follow up are referred to the local physicians. They will return annually
